*Six Steps To Creating Your Destiny
“Your beliefs become your thoughts; your thoughts become your words; your words become your actions; your actions become your habits; your habits become your destiny." ~ Mahatma Gandhi
1. What you believe will become your thoughts…
What you believe truly does become your thoughts whether they are negative or positive. The human mind is a very powerful tool. Our belief systems can sometimes hold us back from our truest potential. Old, outdated beliefs from past experiences or social conditioning that no longer serve us can have a negative impact on our lives.
Emotions play a role in our thoughts too. We become disconnected from our true power by ignoring our emotions. We tend to navigate away from our emotions and remain disconnected because we are afraid to fully feel, process or integrate them. For instance, someone says something that upsets you. You become angry and you hold it within you because you don’t want to fully feel and process your emotions. This creates resentment towards the other person and holding onto emotions creates blocks within yourself which robs you of your happiness and keeps you from moving forward.
Let’s be honest, it feels yucky and uncomfortable to feel these emotions, but in reality we need to feel our emotions; to fully embrace, honor and release any emotions that come up. This allows us to feel vibrant so that we can live our lives in positivity.
2. Your thoughts become your words...
As you’ve gone through life, because of social conditioning and old beliefs you’ve been trained to think and speak negatively. If you think or say “I can’t”, then your brain will tell you that you can’t. I like to call this “stinking thinking”. Instead of thinking and saying you “can’t”, change it from negative to a positive statement. I guarantee an “I can” statement will always come to fruition! Start your day by declaring a positive statement such as "I am going to have an awesome day!" Having a positive attitude sets the tone of your day right from the start.
3. Your words become actions…
Once you start thinking and speaking in positive terms, you’ll want to show up and put action to your words. Always speak your truth and be consistent with your words. You will begin to feel your current reality shift the more you put action to what you say and do. Remember, it matters not what people think, what matters most is how you feel in your heart.
4. Your actions become habits...
When you speak your truth, you begin to show and create action. Your actions really show who you are as a person. By being consistent with your actions, you are following through with your word. Say what you mean and mean what you say. When you put forth action, the Universe will return positive blessings to you tenfold.
5. Your habits become values…
Your values are what you believe is important in the way you live and work. Your values determine your priorities and if you are in alignment with them, everything in your life will flow in a positive direction. As long as you are in alignment with your values, life is very good. It is when you don’t align with your values that things go awry in your life.
6. Your values become your destiny…
When you combine all of these elements and really make a concerted effort to stay in alignment, you definitely put yourself on the way to your destiny. Keep your thoughts positive and focus on the end result. Don’t worry about how you will get there, that will fall into place as you go. Don’t put any attachment to the outcome; things will work out as they are supposed to. Keep a positive focus and the Universe will help you manifest what you desire!
Always keep in mind that you were not put on this Earth to remain stuck. In actuality you are meant to continually expand; to be ever flowing and evolving. Be consistently fluid with your beliefs and keep feeling your emotions. Keep honoring, embracing and releasing and it will make room for new things to enter your life.
“Actions are the seed of fate; deeds grow into destiny.” ~ Harry S. Truman
